Terms of Service

1. What Typelin is

Typelin is a web application for learning English by typing complete sentences. It includes courses, typing exercises, review and progress statistics.

Typelin has a free plan that you can use without paying. Some courses and features are available only with a paid Typelin Pro subscription.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

3. Your account

You can create an account with your email address or with your Google account. You agree to give accurate information and keep it up to date.

You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that happens under it. Do not share your sign-in details or your account with others. If you think someone has accessed your account without permission, contact us right away at support@typelin.com.

4. Typelin Pro

Typelin Pro is a paid subscription. It unlocks all courses, dictation mode and full statistics. It is available on the following plans:

• Weekly: $3.99 per week
• Monthly: $9.99 per month
• Yearly: $59.99 per year

Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax or VAT may be added at checkout depending on where you live.

5. Renewal and cancellation

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, and the payment method you used is charged for the next period, until you cancel.

You can cancel at any time in Account → Billing → Manage billing. After you cancel, you keep Pro access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you will not be charged again.

Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy at typelin.com/refund.

6. Price changes

We may change the prices of Typelin Pro for new subscriptions. A price change does not affect an active subscription: your price stays locked for as long as your subscription continues without interruption. If your subscription ends and you subscribe again later, the price at that time applies.

7. Payments and Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Polar Software, Inc. Polar is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and handles billing, taxes, invoices and payment-related questions.

Your card details are entered on Polar's checkout and are never shared with us. Polar's own terms and privacy policy also apply to your purchase.

8. Acceptable use

When you use the Service, you agree not to:

• abuse, disrupt or overload the Service, or try to get around its limits, paywall or security;
• scrape, crawl or download the Service or its content with bots or other automated tools;
• copy, resell, redistribute or publish Typelin content, or use it to build a competing product;
• share, sell or transfer your account or Pro access to others;
• reverse engineer the Service, except where the law expressly allows it;
• use the Service for anything unlawful or harmful to others.

9. Content and ownership

All content in the Service, including courses, sentences, exercises, audio, text, design and software, belongs to Typelin or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service and its content for your own learning, for as long as you follow these Terms. No other rights are granted.

10. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account in your profile settings.

We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if you use the Service fraudulently, or if the law requires us to do so. Where reasonable, we will tell you the reason in advance and give you a chance to fix the problem.

If we close your account without you having broken these Terms, we will refund the unused part of any prepaid subscription.

11. Changes to the Service

We continuously improve Typelin and may add, change or remove features and content. We work to keep the Service available, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

12. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee any particular learning result.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Typelin will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or revenue, arising from your use of the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If a change is material, we will let you know by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after the change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
